2022 Fall Instructional League Information (Tentative)

• Dates:  Sundays, Sept 4-October 2 (10/9- Rain Date)
• Locations:  Kennedy Little League, Waunakee (Ripp and Meadowbrook Park)
• Time: Clinic/Practice 10am-11:30pm  Games:  11:30-1pm

Game Day Plan:  Our instructional league has a rather unique format to blend advanced instructional clinics with games so that our players can apply what they learn in our clinics/practice sessions in the games on the same day.  We are very excited to offer this type of experiential learning process in our fall instructional league.

We will be holding clinics for our  teams at multiple fields each week.  On each field, we will have Silver Slugger Instructors organizing drills, running the clinic and helping volunteer (parent) coaches with games.  

Here is a high level view of how our Sundays will look:

• 10am- 11:30pm:  Instructional Clinic and Pre-Game Warm Up Routine
• 11:30-1pm:  Games 
  • Games will also be classified as a controlled scrimmage where coaches can call quick time outs to review plays and quickly take advantage of teaching moments during competition.

Our goal for this league is to provide our players 5 distinct instructional clinics on the various fundamentals of baseball and also enjoy the many benefits of competition on the field.

• Baseball Skills- Fielding Repetition Based Warm Up
• Mechanics, Skills & Drills Clinic (Tentative Schedule)
  • Week 1: Throwing Mechanics
  • Week 2: Hitting Skills and Drills
  • Week 3: Fielding- Detailed Fielding Fundamentals
  • Week 4: Hitting Skills Part 2 and Run downs
  • Week 5:  All Star Skills Competition

Fundamentals of the Day
Game Time Tutorial:  Areas of Focus for all players to learn baseball through experiential learning,  during the game
Examples:  Taking the proper lead, Team communication, Situational Hitting, etc.
